Last week, ROC organised a 5-a-side football tournament in support of Men’s Health Week 2026.
Despite the warm evening, everyone gave it their all, with plenty of friendly competition – and thankfully no injuries. There were also some superstars on the pitch, with Will Coombes making some fantastic saves and Paul Doran, who just didn’t stop running. Alongside the tournament, a range of activities took place across our project sites, encouraging teams to take time out, talk openly and check in with one another. These conversations play an important role in breaking down barriers and promoting positive mental wellbeing on site.
In recognition of Men’s Health Week, it’s important to highlight the impact of taking care of ourselves – not just mentally, but physically too – both in the office and on-site. The week plays a crucial role in raising awareness of men’s health and encouraging people to seek help for any concerns about their wellbeing.
At ROC, we want all our employees to feel physically and mentally well. That’s why we also support The Lighthouse Charity for the vital work they do in supporting the wellbeing of those working in the construction industry. It is so important to keep talking, keep sharing and end the stigmas around mental health.
We are extremely proud of everyone who organised the activities and of all those who took part – including those cheering from the side-lines!
