Health, Safety & Wellbeing

Built on Trust, Skills & Leadership

At ROCMEP, nothing matters more than the safety and wellbeing of our people, our partners, and everyone involved in our projects. From the boardroom to the building site, health and safety isn’t just a checkbox, it’s a dedication that we strive to continue developing.

We invest in the right training, resources, and control measures to minimise risks and deliver the highest standards of safety on every project. Regular audits by leading accreditation and award bodies keep us accountable, and we’re proud to be certified to ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management standards.

But our commitment doesn’t stop at project handover. Every solution we design and deliver is built to last, ensuring safety and reliability for the end user long into the future.

Our Health & Safety Principles

Quality and Health & Safety go hand in hand on any project, which is why we have a set of H&S Principles to keep everyone safe; guiding us to deliver a strong H&S culture for the business and our partners. Our teams know following these commitments enable us to achieve our H&S goals and aspirations.

Mental Health Matters

Our commitment to breaking down stigma around mental health revolves around normalising and leading conversations to create awareness. This includes internal and externals communications, toolbox talks, charitable events and fundraising.

We have professionally trained Mental Health First Aiders across our teams and we are working with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to help raise awareness across the industry and improve the welfare and wellbeing of the construction community. To date, 20% of our PAYE staff are officially Mental Health First Aid trained; this accomplishment reflects our unwavering commitment to creating a supportive and empathetic work environment and more supportive industry.

By embedding these values into every project, we protect our people today while building a stronger, safer industry for tomorrow.
